Cannabidiol, or CBD, products that the Guam Customs and Quarantine Agency confiscated will be released, Gov. Lou Leon Guerrero said Friday.
Guam hasn't heard back from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to clarify issues related to CBDs, the governor said.
"There is no clear guidance on this and the rest of the United States are in the same position. We haven’t heard anything back from them, but we are going to release it. But I have asked Public Health to monitor it very closely," the governor said.
The monitoring she's asking the Guam Department of Public Health and Social Services to do isn't so much on the importation of CBD to Guam, but on the products on the shelves of retail stores on island.
