Bill would reinstate Medicaid for FAS migrants
Bipartisan efforts are underway in the U.S. House of Representatives to reinstate Medicaid eligibility for citizens of the Republic of the Marshall Islands, the Federated States of Micronesia, and the Republic of Palau.
California Rep. Tony Cárdenas, a Democrat, along with American Samoa Republican Del. Amata Coleman Radewagen; Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, a Democrat from Hawaii; Rep. Steve Womack, a Republican from Arkansas; Rep. Ed Case, a Democrat from Hawaii and Del. Gregorio Sablan, a Democrat from the Northern Marianas, introduced the Covering Our FAS Allies, or COFA, Act on Oct. 23.
Guam Del. Michael San Nicolas on Tuesday announced he has joined the efforts.
